There could be seismic acquisitions on the defensive side of the ball this offseason, which was reiterated with the recent release of early Defensive Player of the Year favorites for 2025.

Myles Garrett, who has requested a trade out of Cleveland, has opened as the favorite with +600 odds.

Three of the other top-10 favorites — Micah Parsons, Maxx Crosby and Trey Hendrickson — are also at pivot points in their careers, to where a trade this offseason wouldn’t be a shock.

Even T.J. Watt, another favorite, is heading into the final year of his deal with the Steelers at an age (31) where negotiations can get prickly.

It’s not like all five are going to get dealt, but the fact that half of the league’s best defensive players in the NFL are in varying degrees of limbo could make it a spicy offseason.

Every team in the league would love to add a dominant presence on the edge, and this quintet would fit the bill. Here is a look at the list of Defensive Player of the Year favorites.

Cornerback Cooper Dejean, who starred as a rookie with the Eagles and is already being listed with the same odds as Christian Gonzalez and Kyle Hamilton to capture Defensive Player of the Year in 2025.
